Year-end Jass 2023 with subsequent Raclette dinner

On November 18, we met at the Park Tavern to play our last Jass of the year to determine the Jass champion 2023. The first place went to Alain Everts, who made the most points during the whole year and won a gift basket, sponsored by Jürg Wyss from Abifor. The second place went to Martin Rütti, who was the happy winner of a bottle of Swiss Gin sponsored by Admeliora. On the third price we have myself, Jonas Eberle, who won a cheese basket sponsered by Raul Casserini from the Cheesery.

22 Jass players competed in the last Jass tournament of the year 2023, while additional 9 dear friends and 3 children from the Swiss community joined our subsequent Raclette dinner. Besides the price sponsors mentioned before, we would like to thank the Consul General Sacha Bachmann, the Consul Ralph Steinegger and the Swiss consulate Shanghai for the sponsoring the excellent Swiss white wine. We would like to thank Claire Ma and Jo from Lindt for their kind attendance and sponsoring of Lindt Lindor chocolate. Thanks to Sacha Stöcklin from CieCas for sponsoring a cooking class. And finally, a big thanks to my wife Vicky Wang for supporting me through the whole year and in the organization of the year-end event.

It was a truly wonderful event, with a lot of fun and laugthers. A great gathering among friends in a relaxed atmosphere to play Jass, enjoy Swiss food and wine, and having good talks. I am already looking forward to the year-end Jass event 2024!
